Windfarms

For the last few years Cllr. Steve Tierney has been working with the majority of people of Tydd St. Giles and South Holland (Lincs.) to oppose the construction of a large wind turbine development on our local countryside. The local group opposing the development are called Fenrats.

The planning application has been turned down by two district councils but – as is the way with such things – the wishes of the local people and the decisions of local councils are being blatantly ignored as the matter goes to the dreaded “appeal.” Local people fear a situation where remote bureaucrats will overrule them and impose this wasteful blight upon their homes.
